Contributions are welcomed from those who apply economic analysis and information in their work and research. Articles may be of any reasonable length, but submissions should include a clear statement explaining why the analysis and information presented are important to business.

Current Call for Abstracts

2026 Edmund A. Mennis Contributed Papers Award

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 2026 Edmund A. Mennis Contributed Papers Award. Submit by May 15, 2026, for a chance to present at the 2026 NABE Annual Meeting, October 11–13, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. Read the instructions carefully, as incorrectly formatted submissions will be returned to sender.

Application Process

  1. Submit an abstract: Provide an anonymized abstract in PDF format (maximum 250 words / one double-spaced page), along with a separate page listing author(s), affiliation(s), and contact information. Topics should reflect original, unpublished research with practical value to NABE members. Send all materials in PDF format to [email protected] by May 15. 
  2. Abstract review: A Selection Committee appointed by the Business Economics Editor will review submissions and select up to eight abstracts. Selected authors will be invited to submit full papers by July 31.
    Final papers must follow standard Business Economics manuscript guidelines (see Author Guidelines above or contact Charles Steindel at [email protected]).
  3. Final selection: Two papers will be chosen for presentation at the NABE Annual Meeting.
    The winning paper will receive the Edmund A. Mennis Contributed Papers Award, and the runner-up will be awarded the NABE Contributed Paper Award.
