2020 Salary Survey Report
The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) conducted the first salary survey of its members in 1964. Every two years since—with the exception of 1966 and 1970— NABE has surveyed its members about their salaries and other occupational details. In May and June 2020, NABE, in conjunction with The NABE Foundation, surveyed its members. Questionnaires were sent via email to 1,952 members and to NABE Fellows; participants responded online. A total of 309 members responded with information on their compensation, for a response rate of 15.8%.
NABE members reported a median base salary of $153,500 in 2020--a 2.3% increase from the median $150,000 reported in 2018. The mean (average) base salary rose by 4.3% over the same period to $178,121.
