The NABE TEC Meetup Europe will be an in-person, full-day conference hosted by Netflix International B.V. in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and co-sponsored by the University of Zurich. The invite-only event brings together leading economists, marketers, and data scientists from industry and academia to discuss the application of Economics to challenges in the tech industry: from causal inference to measurement, from auctions to demand estimation, from the labor market to reinforcement learning.
The meetup is the continuation of our successful 2024 and 2025 Europe pilots hosted by Zalando in Berlin and Amazon in London in collaboration with the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). The event is modeled after the multi-day NABE TEC conference in the US. It is an invite-only event, bringing together a selected group of about 60 practitioners from industry and academia in Europe, to ensure opportunities for small-group, in-depth discussions and networking under Chatham House rules.
The meetup will be single-stream and in-person. It is the explicit aim of this meetup to discover and connect practitioners with a presence, or strong roots, in Europe.
