The first two months of 2020 were no different from any of the months in 2019 for U.S. airlines and airports, as the aviation industry has been enjoying years of healthy growth. However, the pandemic resulted in a full-scale transportation crisis with aviation brought to a virtual halt in April following lockdowns imposed in many countries.
