The CBE examination is based on an advanced body of knowledge, developed and reviewed by leading business economists to ensure that it reflects the most relevant information and core competencies demanded by today’s top employers. The CBE examination is developed and administered by NABE.
Quick Checklist: Do you have two years of work experience in applied business economics or in a related field? Do you possess a four-year degree? Are you a current NABE Member? Have you completed NABE's Writing Skills and Communication and Presentation Skills courses or suitable alternatives? (These can be completed after the exam.)

The CBE Exam is a comprehensive multiple-choice assessment, testing a candidate’s practical and applied knowledge in the following areas:

- Statistics and Data Analytics
- Economic Measurement
- Managerial Decision Making
- Macroeconomics / Microeconomics

If you need to cancel an exam registration, written cancellation must be received via email to [email protected]. A credit for the exam fee, less a $50 fee, will be placed on your account for future use if cancellation is made within four weeks after your initial registration.
