2017 Holiday Shipping Season Webinar - December 11, 2017

“Outlook for the 2017 Holiday Shipping Season: Views from Around the Transportation Sector"

Monday, December 11, 2017

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET

The 2017 peak shipping season is underway in support of the holiday retail season.  Retailers experience a greater percentage of their annual sales during the critical November-December holiday season. However, the supply chain for U.S. retail is global and extensive, including foreign manufacturers and suppliers, foreign and domestic ports, air freight, U.S. railroads and trucks, etc. Is the supply chain ready to supply products for sale during the 2017 holiday season? What volume growth rates are we seeing for each of the modes of transportation in the supply chain during the 2017 peak shipping season, and what are the issues regarding building retail inventories for holiday sales (e.g., driver shortages, etc.)? What are the projections for overall holiday retail sales in 2017, and who will be the winners and the losers in the retail space this holiday season, including online vs. brick and mortar?

This one-hour webinar will attempt to explore the answers to some of these important questions.
