Jeffrey Lowe

Jeff Lowe is a senior accountant for the BEA’s International Investment Division, which is responsible for collecting, tabulating, and analyzing direct investment data. He serves as the division liaison to data customers within the BEA, such as the Balance of Payments Division and the National Income and Wealth Division.

After a short stint at a CPA firm, Jeff has been at BEA since 1975--initially as a survey accountant and then as a member of the Research Branch. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton (1974) and a MBA from the University of Maryland (1976).

Jeff has been published in the Survey of Current Business, BEA’s monthly journal. The articles have covered topics such as capital expenditures, direct investment positions, gross product of multinational corporations, and alternative current account frameworks. He has also co-authored a piece for Business Economics.

Lea Tyler
Manager of US Operations
Oxford Economics

Lea Tyler is Manager of US Operations at Oxford Economics USA, the US subsidiary of Oxford Economic Forecasting. In addition to her role as the forecaster of the US and Canadian economies, she is also responsible for the continual development of those two country models, client training, and technical support.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Ms Tyler was Manager of US Short-Term Forecasting for The WEFA Group. In this capacity she was responsible for managing the US short-term forecast, coordinating the US forecast with industry and internationalforecasts, and contributing to the development of the US quarterly model. Ms Tyler has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Rochester and did graduate work in economics at Temple University.
