NABE's RSS Feed
Keep up to date on news from NABE by subscribing to our RSS feed in your newsreader. If you are not familiar with newsreaders, there was an explanation of RSS and newsreaders in the October 2003 NABE News. The Wall Street Journal also has an explanation of newsfeeds on the public portion of their site.
If you have set up a free My Yahoo! account (one of those personalized pages that Yahoo allows you to create), you can also view news feeds from your home page. Here's what you need to do:
- Go to the My Yahoo page (or tab) where you want to include news feeds. Click the Choose Content button, which should be towards the top of the page, just under the tabs.
- Scroll down the content offerings until you find the section for Web & Internet. You should see a selection called RSS Headlines (Beta)
- Check the box, and select Finished. You will now have a RSS Headlines section on your page.
- To add feeds, click the Edit button next to the RSS Headlines header.
This will bring you to a page where you can enter the URL for a news
feed directly (NABE's RSS feed is at http://www.nabe.com/nabe.xml
)
or you can search for feeds by name or by subject.
If you want to set up a personalized My Yahoo page, go to the main Yahoo home page (www.yahoo.com) and then click the My! button at the top left.
The Mozilla mail client, Mozilla Thunderbird, will also let you read news feeds as part of your email program
