With a background in economics, financial markets research and investor communications, Laurie King has created a marketing strategy for the California Council on Economic Education (CCEE) and is involved with its implementation. CCEE’s mission is to advance the financial literacy of Californians, and it is the leading provider of economic education materials and resources for California K-12 teachers. She also is an adjunct faculty member at Upper Iowa University and teaches Marketing Principles.
Nayantara Hensel assumed the position of chief economist for the Department of the Navy in late April. She works on a variety of issues linked to the defense industrial base, inflation, unemployment, commodities prices, financial solvency of defense contractors, and currency prices and has found this to be an interesting and rewarding time to be working in the defense sector.
