Ben Laden, who served as NABE president from 1984 to 1985, died on Jan. 20 at his home in Washington, D.C. At the time he served as NABE president he was chief economist at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore.  Under his leadership, NABE organized the first Washington Economic Policy Conference, now in its 25th successful year.
