Register now for the Nov. 3 conference call on the NABE Industry Survey. The call is set for 11 a.m. ET and the survey will cover the business conditions in NABE members’ firms and industries during third quarter 2008 and expectations over the near term. Speakers will be Paul Thomas, Intel Corporation, and Shawn DuBravac, Consumer Electronics Association. The teleconference fee is $15 for NABE members and $60 for others. Save the dates for two additional teleconferences: one on the NABE Outlook, the survey of NABE's macroeconomic forecasters, scheduled for Nov. 17. The other is on the outlook for the manufacturing industry on Dec. 4 with speakers Daniel J. Meckstroth, Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI, and Thomas Runiewicz, Global Insight.
The Get Connected Mentoring Program is now underway, and many NABE members have already signed up. The Mentoring Program is designed to facilitate the building of professional relationships between NABE members, especially between the newest members and the most experienced. The program enhances the professional development of both parties by cultivating these one-on-one relationships. Sign up to be a mentor or mentee.

Mark your calendar for the 2009 Washington Policy Conference, set for March 1-3 at the Marriott Key Bridge in Arlington, Va. “Restoring Financial and Economic Stability” is the meeting theme, and a reception is planned on Monday evening at the Federal Reserve.
