The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and Deutsche Bundesbank will co-host an International Economic Symposium at the Bundesbank Regional Office, Willy-Brandt-Straße 73, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

Check-in for the event begins on Thursday, May 23 at 11:30am. An optional lunch will begin at 12:00pm. The conference program begins at 12:45pm and is expected to conclude at 4:15pm on Friday, May 24. An official dinner will also be held the evening of Thursday, May 23 at a nearby Hamburg-style event location (Speicherstadt Loft, Am Sandtorkai 23/24, 20457 Hamburg).  In addition, optional informal events for attendees will take place on Wednesday, May 22 and the evening of Friday, May 24.

Organized around the theme of “Competition and Cooperation in a Rebalancing World Economy,” the symposium will explore the critical challenges, emerging trends, and diverse factors shaping the United States and European economies in 2024 and beyond, and the implications these currents have for US and European businesses.

This is NABE's ninth International Economic Symposium; the inaugural event was cohosted in Munich by the Deutsche Bundesbank in 2015.  Subsequent events were co-hosted by the OECD in Paris, by Banca d'Italia in Rome, by Banco de Espana in Madrid, by the Riksbank in Stockholm, by the Deutsche Bundesbank in Eltville am Rhein, and by the Banque de France in Paris. The 2021 event was held virtually.
