Total Housing Starts
The Graph of the Week comes from the October 2008 NABE Outlook, and shows the estimate for housing starts for 2008 and 2009. From the survey:
Only 1.0 million housing units are expected to be started in 2009, unchanged from this year’s estimated total. House prices (based on the OFHEO index) are expected to end next year down 2.1% following an estimated 5.5% drop in 2008.
