Trade-Weighted Value of the Dollar

The Graph of the Week is the trade-weighted value of the dollar, from January 2000 to the present.
The data for the graph came FRED - the Federal Reserve Economic Database at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, a database of 19,566 U.S. economic time series. NABE's Federal Reserve Corner links to FRED and many other sites in the Federal Reserve System.
This time series is the averages of daily figures. A weighted average of the foreign exchange value of the U.S. dollar against a subset of the broad index currencies that circulate widely outside the country of issue. Major currency index includes the Euro Area, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, and Sweden.
