Profit Margins
The Graph of the Week shows the Net Rising Index for Profit Margins, as reported by the NABE Industry Survey
Industry profit margins increased for a 17th consecutive quarter, although the rate of improvement has downshifted in 2007. Goods-producing firms, however, saw profit margins decrease for a second consecutive quarter.
