GDP Forecast

The Graph of the Week shows the GDP forecast from the September 2007 NABE Outlook Survey, released on 9/10 at the NABE Annual Meeting in San Francisco
The panel made little change to expectations for 2007 economic growth, but trimmed its estimates for 2008. Real GDP growth was rather brisk in the second quarter and that momentum will carry through and sustain growth. The NABE forecasters see a full-year advance in real GDP of 2.2% (on a fourth-quarter-over-fourth-quarter basis), barely changed from the May reading of 2.3%. However, growth in 2008 has been pared from 3.1% to 2.8%, with the reductions centered in the first half of the year.
