Employment Net Rising Index
The Graph of the Week shows the Employment Net Rising Index from the July 2007 NABE Industry Survey. From the survey:
Employment growth among respondents snapped back in the second quarter. The NRI of 18 and the percentage who reported rising employment (32%) were the highest in a year. (See Figure 5.) Goods-producing firms were again shedding jobs on net, as they had in the previous two quarters, but respondents from the other three sectors reported they were hiring on balance.
