Welcome to the chapter website of the San Antonio Business and Economic Society (SABES). Our diverse membership is composed of individuals who have an interest in business economics and who want to utilize current economic data and trends to enhance their capacity for making sound business decisions.
SABES luncheons provide a forum for discussing economic issues that affect business conditions on a local, national and global basis. Guest speakers are experts in their field and offer insightful presentations on topics ranging from our local economic forecast, to the national macroeconomic outlook, business relations with Latin America and global conditions affecting our regional interests.
We meet at The Plaza Club (21st floor, Frost Bank building) in downtown San Antonio on the last Wednesday of the month, September – June, except during the winter holidays. Lunch is served promptly at noon (with registration beforehand.) Guest speakers usually begin their 20 - 30 minute presentations around 12:30, followed by a question and answer period.
Members of the news media are always welcome to attend our meetings. Membership in SABES is open to all who are interested in business economics and its applications. For more information on membership, please click on our “JOIN” icon. Speaker information and luncheon costs can be found at the “NEXT MEETING” icon.
Please feel welcome to join us at this lunch-hour speaker series.
