Chapters and Affiliates

NABE is affiliated with many local and student chapters here in the US, with other professional economic organizations, and with business economics organizations in other countries

Local and Student Chapters

NABE chapters are located in many cities across the country and, just like NABE, are comprised of people who have an interest in business economics and who want to utilize the latest economic data and trends to enhance their ability to make sound business decisions. The same is true for student chapters, which serve as a forum for sharing economic information and a place for students, their professors and the business community to promote the use and understanding of economics.

Roundtables

Roundtables are special interest groups, within NABE, that focus on specialized subjects. For more information, see the NABE Roundtables Page.

Affiliate Organizations

NABE has an affiliate relationship with the National Bureau of Economic Research. A NABE representative, currently NABE Past President Richard Berner, sits on the NBER board. There is an NBER session at the Annual Meeting, and NABE members receive e-mail notification of new research work.

Our newest affiliation is with AUBER, the Association for University Business and Economic Research. AUBER and NABE will be jointly sponsoring many programs, including the Washington Policy Conference. Board member Jack Kleinhenz is our representative with AUBER.

NABE is also a member of the Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics. NABE Past President Maurine Haver and Robert Parker represent NABE on the COPAFS board.
