2024 Salary Survey Report

The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) conducted the first salary survey of its members in 1964. Every two years since—with the exception of 1966 and 1970— NABE has surveyed its members about their salaries and other occupational details. In June and July 2024, NABE surveyed its members and other contacts about their salary, additional compensation, and other occupational details. Questionnaires were sent via email to 17,912 members and other contacts, and to NABE Fellows; participants responded online. A total of 403 respondents provided information on their compensation. The median base salary for respondents was $160,000 in the summer of 2024—a 2.6% increase from the median $156,000 reported in the 2022 survey. The mean (average) salary rose 10.9% over the same period, from $171,431 to $190,122.
